Examining flags

Today we learnt that ANZAC stands for Australia & New Zealand Army Corps.

To help us get an understanding of the united forces of the two countries, we examined the flags of both countries.

We looked at the similarities and differences between the flags. We noticed that the colours of the stars are different and that each country has different shaped stars. The NZ flag has 4 stars while the Australian flag has 6.

We tried to draw the flags but some children had difficulty drawing stars so some volunteered to teach their friends how to draw them. We are becoming so caring and helpful.

Our teacher gave us some step by step instructions to help us draw our flag too.

Here are the flags Lola drew.

Lorin drew a huge Australian flag.
