Different Opinions

Zoey, Zina and Grace showed us that they knew how to challenge each other's opinion and come to some consensus.

Question:

Ms Tan: What do you want to write about today?

Zoey: I am going to write about my pony. (She held her 'My Little Pony' toy for the discussion group to see.)

Zina: That's not a pony. It's a unicorn.

Zoey: It's a pony! It's called 'My Little Pony'!

Grace: Noooo! A pony does not have a horn!

Zoey: Yes, it does!

Ms Tan: How about you girls go and have a discussion on your own to see if you can solve this problem about whether that's a pony or a unicorn?

(The three girls left the discussion group and settled in the library corner. The rest of the group continues their discussion about what they want to write about.)

A short while later, the three girls return smiling.

Grace: We decided that Zoey has a unicorn pony.

Zoey: Yes, it's called 'My Little Pony' but it has a horn.

Zina: A pony doesn't have a horn.

Grace: And a Pegasus has wings!

Zoey: We are going to write about a unicorn.
