The Green Group did some Maths today about World War 1 since we are learning about The Great War this week. They looked at each of the years of the war and saw how the last two digits changed. Many of the students in the group could read the years easily.
The students learnt the year when the war started, how long it lasted, and how many years are between 1915 and 2015.
In our Math lesson today the students had to identify the number on the Jenga block they picked then counted backwards two numbers.
When some one picked number 1, the teacher asked, "What number is before 1?" Of course, we knew it is zero! Then the teacher asked, "What number is before zero?" Only Josh knew that the number one less than zero is minus 1.
