WW100

2014 marks the centenary of the beginning of World War 1.  As a school we are commemorating this event by remembering our family members and the 91 local New Lynn servicemen that served during the 'Great War' through our commemorative artwork which was revealed at a dawn ceremony on 28th July (the 100 year anniversary of Austria-Hungary declaring war on Serbia).



It's so important the our children learn about the sacrifices made for our freedom.  They need to learn how to maintain peaceful relationships with others so that we can avert any future wars.  We can do that by teaching them about the past and showing them how to relate to others with kindness and tolerance.
