Linking ideas

This morning the Room 21 students watched a video about the Solar System. We are part of a big Solar System. The sun is in the centre and keeps our eight planets orbiting it. There are some asteroids orbiting some planets too. 

The video talked about the word 'asteroid'. We looked at how it is spelt and noticed the /oi/ sound. We also brainstormed other words with the /oi/ sound and realised that that sound can sometimes be spelt /oy/ and /aw/.
