Construction of a Rocket

We have a rocket in our classroom! Marcus has been working hard on his rocket project today. Here is what he's been up to-

First, he drew four large circles on the sides of a box. 

Ms Bland helped him to cut the circles. These will be the windows of his rocket. 

Next he taped on extra cardboard to the four ends of the box and drew lines on them to show a tall triangle shape. These would be cut to make a pointy tip for the rocket.  

The joins were reinforced with cardboard then the tip of the rocket was glued together. 

Next, it is time to try out the rocket!

Finally, the rocket and the boosters were painted. 

Final touches will be done on the rocket tomorrow, before lift off!
