Printing t-shirts

Our class' road safety logo was printed onto our t-shirts today. Here is the first t-shirt held by the artist who designed the logo!  We are giving her design two thumbs up!

To print the t-shirts we put a board inside it with a piece of newspaper. This was to ensure that the ink didn't go through to the back of the t-shirt.

Next we placed the screen printing frame with our stencil on the t-shirt. We had to be careful to have the logo the right side up!

After that we used the squeegee to wipe ink over the surface.

We lifted the frame slowly for the big reveal...

Now that our t-shirts are printed we need to allow them to dry. If we want to keep the design on the t-shirts they will need to be heat set.

We are going to enjoy wearing the t-shirts when we film our jingle next week!
