Hangi for our Kai!

We have some amazing people at Arahoe School who give up their time so we can enjoy some new experiences. We had Papa Kerry talk to us about how he prepared the hangi for us. He came to school at 4:30 in the morning with some of our other dads to dig the pit and start the fire to cook our lunch!  Papa Kerry told us that a hangi is a better way to cook food for a large crowd. Today's hangi fed about 300 people!

Here we are enjoying our lunch in the classroom. Those of us who had a hangi meal for lunch couldn't finish it all because the portions we so large!  Maybe we will have hangi for dinner too!
