Reading on Thursday

In our Reading session today, we talked about the sounds letter i makes. We know it can make a short sound like in 'igloo' and that it makes a long sound, as in, five'. 

Some groups talked about the message in the Big Book. In the story all the animals said, "It's my bread." We thought that the animals were selfish because they should be sharing the bread. 

The Room 21 Bears used our Word Jenga game and found the blocks that had the same word as their book!

Our friend made an interesting discovery. She found out that her Reader was written by Margaret Mahy by looking at the front cover! What a clever girl!
