Chinese New Year Celebrations

A big "Thank You" to Brayden's mum for helping us with our Chinese New Year celebrations.

She taught us a Chinese song about how everybody on the big streets and small roads would greet each other with "gong xi gong xi" when they see each other during Chinese New Year.

She also showed us how to make a paper cutting of the Chinese character 'xi' which means 'joy'.

We can place the paper "xi" on the wall, at the window, on the fridge or on the mirror. These are our cuttings...

Our celebrations in Room 22 ended with her giving us each a "hong bao".
