Exploring patterns

Today is the start of the five day Diwali celebrations. Traditionally, rangoli patterns are made outside homes to welcome guests. We made rangoli patterns to welcome our parents!

First, we drew a circle, then we drew shapes around it. Can you describe the shapes we used?

It was fun to colour in our rangoli pattern using chalk.
