Arth - So we can read books to ourselves.
Amelia B - So we can read to our children.
Kalais - To help us learn.
Lucas B - To read text messages from friends, to follow the boss' instructions at work, and to be able to understand at university.
Some things that make it hard to read well are:
Micah - Sometimes I don't know how to sound out words.
Lucas B - It's hard to read when you don't know all the letters and their sounds. It's also hard to read if you're not looking in the right place.
Amelia B - Long words are tricky to read.
The students made goals and thought about what they will need to do to achieve them.
