Firedance

We watched a Spanish dancer perform 'Firedance'. She was amazing! She moved her arms and fingers to look like the flames of a fire.

See the video here...

We looked carefully at the dancer's movements and noticed that most of them were asymmetrical which means each side of her body was different. Here are some still shots to show you what kinds of shapes we saw.

Tall asymmetrical shapes.
Interesting body shapes made with the dancer's arms.
Intricate finger movements.
Curved and straight shapes.
Wide open symmetrical shapes.

We had a go at moving our bodies to look like a flame too. It was harder than we thought, so we must practice some more!
