Learning about Armistice Day

Tomorrow it is Armistice Day, commemorating the official end of World War 1. This afternoon Some of us watched a little video that explains why we need to remember what happened 96 years ago.

Some of us remembered a story about poppies that we read earlier in the year before ANZAC Day and we discussed the reason why poppies are an important symbol of remembrance.

Tomorrow we will have two minutes of silence as our mark of respect. We will wear our red poppies to remember all those who died in the war, and as a result of war.

We will remember them.
