Art Workshop

An artist, Mr Dodd visited school today to teach us how to sketch and shade. 

We used our normal writing pencil to sketch very lightly. 

We looked at a still life and thought about which part of it was at the front. We started sketching from the object closest to us. 

We used a shading pencil called a 6B to go over the lines that we want darker, then Mr Dodd showed us to hold our pencil a different way so we could shade.
