Trip to Westlynn Garden

We had a happy day buzzing around Westlynn Garden. First we practiced 'The Bee Song' then we got to have lunch. It was great to have a picnic outside with all our friends and the adults who came to look after us. After our lunch we did a scavenger hunt. We had lots of things to find in the garden like: a flower smaller than our fingernail, a seed pod, a feather, a leaf bigger than our hand... The hardest thing to find was a bird's nest!  Luckily the people at the garden had one that they let us take back to school!

We saw some brand new butterflies today. It was interesting to see them use their proboscis (just like a bee) to suck nectar from the flowers.
