Acting like bees

Mrs Sadgrove had us acting like bees in the hive today. Penelope was the queen bee. She had to walk around the room and squat every so often to 'lay' an egg. There were some drones who looked after her too!  Some of us were larvae and some were nurse bees!  Some of us had the important job of being guard bees at the entrance of the hive. When we could leave the hive we had to pass through the guard bee's tunnel and fly off to the flowers to get nectar.
