Pumpkin life cycles

We learnt how a little seed can grow into a pumpkin plant which produces flowers that turn into fruit.  Inside a pumpkin fruit there are lots of seeds that can grow new pumpkins.  We made diagrams showing the life cycle of pumpkins.

We opened up a pumpkin and counted the seeds inside it.  The closest prediction made was 101.

There were 139 seeds inside our pumpkin.
