Thinking about the meaning

After swimming time today we needed some down time so we watched a video. It was a video of a string puppet. We watched the video carefully to figure out what the puppet was thinking.

We figured out that the puppet didn't like being controlled by the puppeteer and wanted the freedom to control himself so he cut his strings. Unfortunately by cutting off the strings, the puppet destroyed his chance at freedom.
